The New Decade, the old, the forever

The great Orientation. We opened up the 2000's with a refusal to count ballots cast by 'real' people deciding a presidential election, denying free speech at its most important and fundamental; now we open up the 2010's with an opinion declaring that corporate free speech has been censored and their constitutional right to spend unlimited sums of money in politics restored. My dad disdainfully disregards talk with any semblance of "conspiracy" (conspiracy - An agreement to perform together an illegal, wrongful, or subversive act.; A joining or acting together, as if by sinister design), declaring that while many are flawed they are at least sincere ("We may disagree with him but Dick Cheney thinks that he is doing the right thing for American National Security") . No hidden agendas...but is it not the nature of power and elites to organize, to be secretive, to act with desires and motives and traditions and libidos and blood and pettiness that the public will never understand; reasoning outside of national duty/public service? People of a certain stripe will do what it takes to move up the food chain...the question is what gets you up the food chain in the US...the higher you get the murkier the terrain is... What of the Federalist Society? What of the Council for National Policy? To be part of something special that no one knows, above and beyond others, the secret joy in the hidden agenda, "you gotta serve somebody", power in nobody knowing your goal, joy at seeing the crazy become real, you may not believe in it or agree with it but in your veins runs the truth- "I have taken part in the birth of a now steady growing hyperstition"- this is pure bliss. I have the power to do what I want for reasons of my own, you expect my organization to do something but you will never know why we/I do anything, you can only conjecture. That is not to say the lower level peons in the Federalist Society know what is going on...they may suspect...they may just know that this is what you must believe to get anywhere in the game...

We can argue about the merits and outcomes of the Supreme Court decision, whether regulation was ever effective in controlling corporations (it wasn't, but maybe because regulation wasn't taken seriously), but the fact remains that whatever rationale the conservative majority based their opinion on, (which i read...half of) it was not the logic of law, nor was it common sense. In ripping up precedent so haphazardly, blatantly disregarding and only barely defending against the biting dissent that they knew was coming from Stevens, they showed that they are no longer afraid of objective intellectual analysis. The conservative majority contradicts themselves.... consistency of judicial philosophy is not to be found in the legacy of their opinions no matter what they say about "originalism". The closest I have seen to a true explanation of this is this article in Slate. The question is why, who, how? How far they go in their facial challenges to the makeup of America is as far as they can before delegitimizing their own institution and are threatened with a facial challenge, ie of their legitimacy. The shell must remain intact(or does it? one way to dismantle govt is to show its ability to be corrupted and used for the wrong reasons). The tree rots slowly from the leaves toward the trunk in all places at once, perpetual outrage becomes a symptom, there is our time and there is their time. "I don't want to abolish government. I simply want to reduce it to the size where I can drag it into the bathroom and drown it in the bathtub." Sell it all off to the private sector...but what have corporate interests become? Corporations abstract entities we cannot hold accountable, their profits siphoned off to who knows where, their board members and managers Gods behind the scenes doing anything besides running their business which runs perpetually of its own inertial motion. The only thing we can say for certainty is that the government is no longer for by or of the people- what Frankenstein it has become we must regain the will to understand.

What are fraternities but obsolete secret institutions, attempts to mimic the secret organizations that had actual power (Delta Tau Delta, started because the literary award at their university was rigged, so they started their own org to regain control of the org in question-if something so minor could spread all over the country...)? We mock Skull and Bones, we want to believe they have no real power (Yale preppy elites, what dorks...), secretly jealous- secretly believing they have unlimited power, wanting to believe they have an infinite scope of connection, connections beyond the ability of our neuro-connections to imagine. Conspiracy theorists lose their heads in the mapping...mapping maps like those of a globe in the 1500's- all assumptions and empty areas.

What do we do when every institute/Non-profit on capital hill, at least most of the powerful ones, is shady at its core? As we have institutionalized corruption, have we institutionalized conspiracy? But as everyone knows that it is there, nobody knows what it means, how it functions. Complexity is the the modern man's scourge, whose stubbornness and individualism/alienation lead him to one of two conclusions: either it is too much and he will never understand, or he already understands everything/enough- a lazy plea of pathetic humble-ignorance or a lazy plea of righteous arrogant-ignorance. Or a disdain of every belief system (4chan, internet-troll-forum, apathetic-cool) or belief in any system that comes along (the shooting in the dark of the "conspiracy theorist") ". Actually these four points form a wxyz chart of the last man[standing], whose presence appears in the face of a world that tells you reality is what you make of it but attempts to break in find you faced with giant unexplained fortresses rising amongst the landscape, whose members and purposes and battles are inexplicable to you (much like the Greek Gods to the Greek populace). Head Republican leaders have connections with Islamists. Private industries deal with narco-mafia. Islamists are in league with Nazis. Zionists are Communists. Corpoleaders are Nazis. Republicans support Israel, Republicans don't support Israel. Weapons are sold everywhere. The War on Terror, The War on Drugs, the Free Masons, the Free Market, all are concepts in name only, none of them unified, ideas in practice that only pretend to be what they are, and under observation quiver and are at two places at once. Greater Israel, Greater Caliphate, Greater Dominionism. Where does it start, where does it end?
"Does the Brotherhood exist?"
"That Winston, you will never know. If we choose to set you free when we have finished with you, and if you live to be ninety years old, still you will never learn whether the answer to that question is yes or no. As long as you live, it will be a riddle in your mind."
From 1984 by George Orwell
In this much of the modern world is shaped by one Cecil Rhodes, of the honored Rhodes Scholarship himself. A man idolized by many of the aristocratic imperial elite, this is a man who was a megalomaniac entrepreneur racist obsessed with control and expansion. In him lie many of the symptoms and desires of modern Western civilization in general. He too had dreams...

"To and for the establishment, promotion and development of a Secret Society, the true aim and object whereof shall be for the extension of British rule throughout the world, the perfecting of a system of emigration from the United Kingdom, and of colonisation by British subjects of all lands where the means of livelihood are attainable by energy, labour and enterprise, and especially the occupation by British settlers of the entire Continent of Africa, the Holy Land, the Valley of the Euphrates, the Islands of Cyprus and Candia, the whole of South America, the Islands of the Pacific not heretofore possessed by Great Britain, the whole of the Malay Archipelago, the seaboard of China and Japan, the ultimate recovery of the United States of America as an integral part of the British Empire, the inauguration of a system of Colonial representation in the Imperial Parliament which may tend to weld together the disjointed members of the Empire and, finally, the foundation of so great a Power as to render wars impossible, and promote the best interests of humanity."

Not to say that his will lives on...but the idea of what is possible behind the scenes lives on. It could be that such things are never articulated, are just there in the background, shaping the logic of the institution, the thinking of the powerful, the dynamics of capital. That people do not have to be loyal to anything, but have the freedom to follow their own elite interest, saying one thing "We must destroy Islamofascism, while doing another- selling weapons, buying drugs from so-called Islamofascists...maybe it is a modern western trait. If it is it is one that is highly contagious...cracking through even the strongest cultures believing in honor and duty (Mishima's hated "Modern Japan"), leaders who are elected immediately forgetting the people they were supposed to serve (Any post colonial democracy, look at Africa, or look at Thailand and the King's one wish for newly elected politicians to be honest), and the crushing of almost any sincere/noble person/company/agenda/tradition.

This all comes back to my dad...to be deferential to elites because they are in positions to be respected is a custom of another era, customs that elites no longer hold to. He was upset when I characterized Clarence Thomas as worthless, Alito as a Mafia Goon, Scalia as head of propoganda, Roberts as the pretty face, and Kennedy as semi-respectful of the law but fatally flawed. Maybe I took it too far...but for me this is the only way to make sense of the world I see. I call upon Cecil Rhodes, whom people of his time called a "controversial figure", but now the West would like to forget as history moves forward and with perspective we can see that he was obviously a terrible person-
But it was Rhodes who originated the racist "land grabs" to which Zimbabwe's current miseries can ultimately be traced. It was Rhodes, too, who in 1887 told the House of Assembly in Cape Town that "the native is to be treated as a child and denied the franchise. We must adopt a system of despotism in our relations with the barbarians of South Africa". In less oratorical moments, he put it even more bluntly: "I prefer land to niggers."

Africans have not forgotten his crimes, banishing Rhodesia from the map. In this regard I also call upon tradition, a tradition my dad also respects, of Mark Twain's truth to power, cutting through the bullshit and telling it how it is.

"I admire him, I frankly confess it; and when his time comes I shall buy a piece of the rope for a keepsake."

Sometimes nuance fails. And I stand by my statement of Alito as High level Henchman.

On the nature of Real Conspiracy

On reading this again, no matter how hard I tried to make this make sense it comes across as either crazy or not that big a deal. It is either. Please just click at least one of those first two links below, because it really makes much less sense when cutting it up. I will write a full summary/extrapolate the greater ramifications at some point once I think about this a lot longer.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sitting at my desk at work, the first week of 2010, nothing to do. So once again my natural instinct is to investigate. And today I hit the jackpot.
Talking to Aim about the Taliban, Al Qaeda, America, one cannot help but feel there are certain gaps in content, not just on what we know (for one cannot know everything), but whole areas where critical thought has not cast it's eye. I wanted to know just a little more clearly how the Taliban came to power, their relationship with Al Qaeda, both groups' individual goals, and the US's (govt and business) involvement with them historically. Simple questions but it's the most obvious questions that take you into the deep (The deep State also the name of this mysterious governing force in Turkey, which I think we can also say exists in the US). This is so mindboggling it is going to require you to do your own research. It centers around one Sibel Edmonds, A translator of Turkish, Tajik etc for the FBI who was fired after whistle blowing one heady nearly all-encompassing operation. The ACLU has called her "the most gagged person in the history of the United States." Recently though she has been allowed to testify under oath, and give a clearer picture of the evidence she knew, leading to a break to end all breaks. Read this interview or this summary, both in the American Conservative (American Conservative!!!) There is also a documentary made 2 French (ofcourse) directors in 2005 called Kill The Messenger detailing her struggle, which just had its premier screening in the Us just 6 months ago.

"A Department of Justice inspector general’s report called Edmonds’s allegations “credible,” “serious,” and “warrant[ing] a thorough and careful review by the FBI.” Ranking Senate Judiciary Committee members Pat Leahy (D-Vt.) and Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) have backed her publicly. “60 Minutes” launched an investigation of her claims and found them believable. No one has ever disproved any of Edmonds’s revelations, which she says can be verified by FBI investigative files."

The story is so big though that it's hard to really grasp a full picture of this conspiracy. And please lets not dismiss this as "conspiracy theory", as I feel I am smart enough to cover my bases and track what is controversial ground, and plus the blow off of conspiracy is an authoritarian tool ("Idiots, how can you believe there were NO planes on 9/11") that dismisses investigation. Just as there is a religious strain through politics that goes unmentioned, there is the criminal-corruption- narco-elitist- lobbyist-weapons trafficking one (many intertwined). And why shouldn't there be? There is corruption everywhere else in the world right, why would it not be possible for the senior ranking state department official to sell state secrets when we know the line is allowed to be blurred anyways in the US with the rotating door of lobby firms and elected government officials. We know that most of these people are already corporate-lobby clients, it is only the next step to become active where the money is flowing. Edmonds was on an investigation of one Marc Grossman, suspected of doing business with the turks, etc.

Grossman became a person of interest early on in the investigative file while he was the U.S. ambassador to Turkey [1994-97], when he became personally involved with operatives both from the Turkish government and from suspected criminal groups. He also had suspicious contact with a number of official and non-official Israelis. Grossman was removed from Turkey short of tour during a scandal referred to as “Susurluk” by the media. It involved a number of high-level criminals as well as senior army and intelligence officers with whom he had been in contact.

What happened at Sursurluk? (http://kurdistan.org/Washington/couturier3.html) Turkey's scandal in 96 that made Iran Contra look like the fucking Gong Show

"What began as a routine police investigation into the
accident showed that the Mercedes' passengers
included an ultranationalist fugitive, a top police
official, a member of parliament and the fugitive's
girlfriend, a former beauty contest winner.
The legislator was the only survivor.

The fugitive killed in the accident, Abdullah Catli,
has been wanted by the international law enforcement
agency Interpol since he escaped in 1990 from a Swiss
prison, where he was serving a sentence for heroin
trafficking. Catli was suspected of involvement in a
number of killings in Turkey,
including those of seven leftist students, and of
having helped Mehmet Ali Agca escape from prison in
Istanbul in 1979. Two years later, Agca shot Pope
John Paul II in an assassination attempt in Rome."
"Grossman and Dickerson had to leave the country because a big investigation had started in Turkey. Special prosecutors were appointed, and the case was headlined in England, Germany, Italy, and in some of the Balkan countries because the criminal groups were found to be active in all those places. A leading figure in the scandal, Mehmet Eymür, led a major paramilitary group for the Turkish intelligence service. To keep him from testifying, Eymür was sent by the Turkish government to the United States, where he worked for eight months as head of intelligence at the Turkish Embassy in Washington. He later became a U.S. citizen and now lives in McLean, Virginia. The central figure in this scandal was Abdullah Catli. In 1989, while “most wanted” by Interpol, he came to the U.S., was granted residency, and settled in Chicago, where he continued to conduct his operations until 1996."

This same shadow government has its tendrils deep into Washington, through the ATC.

"The ATC, founded in 1994 and modeled on the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, was intended to promote Turkish interests in Congress and in other public forums. Edmonds refers to ATC and AIPAC as “sister organizations.” The group’s founders include a number of prominent Americans involved in the Israel-Turkey relationship, notably Henry Kissinger, Brent Scowcroft, Richard Perle, Douglas Feith, and former congressman Stephen Solarz. Perle and Feith had earlier been registered lobbyists for Turkey through Feith’s company, International Advisors Inc. The FBI was interested in ATC because it suspected that the group derived at least some of its income from drug trafficking, Turkey being the source of 90 percent of the heroin that reaches Europe, and because of reports that it had given congressmen illegal contributions or bribes. Moreover, as Edmonds told the Times, the Turks have “often acted as a conduit for the Inter-Services Intelligence, Pakistan’s spy agency, because they were less likely to attract attention.”

Many of these same people's names came up during Edmond's time listening to wiretaps, of course she being Turkish she would immediately realize the strangeness of American officials having close relationships with known politicians in league with the narco-mafia etc. Most of the heroin is grown in Afghanistan. Heroin is the main source of funding for Al-Qaeda. money/treachery.

"In some cases where the FBI stumbles upon evidence of high-level officials being involved in drug-smuggling, they're even prevented from sharing it with the DEA [Drug Enforcement Agency]. The Department of State just comes in and says, "Leave it.""

The insane thing is that their seems to be no limit to what they can't stick their fingers too, some of these people have just been in government so long and have been shady for so long its just not even a big deal anymore. They make lists of people in important positions, find out things about them (like that one congresswoman who is bisexual) and then bribe them, pretty much with impunity. (Others are gagged and marginalized readily) In many cases their interests are aligned. There was the other story of a Turkish professor at MIT, part of this deep state, who has the power to suggest PHD students to work in impt nuclear facilities, who in turn sell those secrets to the Turks, who proceed to sell them for more to Pakistanis or Saudis, the highest bidder.

"Lantos was at the time probably the most outspoken supporter of Israel in Congress. AIPAC would take out the information from Lantos that was relevant to Israel, and they would give the rest of it to their Turkish associates. The Turks would go through the leftovers, take what they wanted, and then try to sell the rest. If there were something relevant to Pakistan, they would contact the ISI officer at the embassy and say, “We’ve got this and this, let’s sit down and talk.” And then they would sell it to the Pakistanis."

"In the summer of 2000, the FBI recorded a meeting between a Turkish official and two Saudi businessmen in Detroit in which nuclear information stolen from an Air Force base in Alabama was offered: “We have a package and we’re going to sell it for $250,000,” the wiretap allegedly recorded. “The network appeared to be obtaining information from every nuclear agency in the United States,” Edmonds told the Times."

"She claims to have also learned that corrupt officials in the Turkish and Israeli Ministries of Defense falsified end-user certificates on weapons purchased in the United States to enable sales to third countries not allowed access to the technology. Principal recipients include the five “Stans” in central Asia—Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Kazakhstan."

"One translator, Melek Can Dickerson, who had worked for three Turkish front organizations under investigation—she failed to reveal this when applying for employment—allegedly stamped many documents of interest “not pertinent,” removed classified documents from FBI premises, and forged signatures on classified documents relating to 9/11 detainees. An Urdu translator was the daughter of a Pakistani Embassy employee who worked for Gen. Mahmoud Ahmad, the head of the Pakistani intelligence service who is accused of authorizing a $100,000 wire transfer to Mohammed Atta’s Dubai bank account immediately before 9/11. The Justice Department IG report confirmed Edmonds’s charge that translators’ section managers issued a go-slow order shortly after the terrorist attacks to create an artificial backlog that would justify an increase in budget and manpower. Those managers are reportedly still in place. Some have been promoted."

Incredible. Still won't believe it? BELIEVE IT YO. We don't have many people who can translate. Who are the people who would do it? The people are hanging out in Washington being shady, llike Melek who was an intern at ATC, prepped and ready to get an important spot handling important documents.
"There have been frequent reports of FBI field agents being frustrated by the premature closure of cases dealing with foreign spying, particularly when those cases involve Israel, and the State Department has frequently intervened to shut down investigations based on “sensitive foreign diplomatic relations.”

"Curiously, the states-secrets gag order binding Edmonds, while put in place by DOJ in 2002, was not requested by the FBI but by the State Department and Pentagon—which employed individuals she identified as being involved in criminal activities. If her allegations are frivolous, that order would scarcely seem necessary. It would have been much simpler for the government to marginalize her by demonstrating that she was poorly informed or speculating about matters outside her competency. Under the Bush administration, the security gag order has been invoked to cover up incompetence or illegality, not to protect national security. It has recently been used to conceal the illegal wiretaps of the warrantless surveillance program, the allegations of torture and the CIA’s rendition program, and to shield the telecom industry for its collaboration in illegal eavesdropping.

It's a known fact that 90% or so of all the aid that is meant to go to Afghanistan never reaches the ground there, it vanishes into the hands of the contractors. This conspiracy is just another aspect of the full dysfunction of the American state at the highest levels, which trickles down (ha!). We just recently have updated our air security and put 675 million people, all the residents of 14 countries, on a terrorist list. We want to think the problem is outside of us, but it has infected our bureaucracy beyond our ability to even comprehend. These quotes are just a taste, it will be 20 years in the future before we figure out the whole truth.I leave you with one last quote and hope you decide to read the above articles for yourself and do some of your own research.

Sibel Edmonds makes a number of accusations about specific criminal behavior that appear to be extraordinary but are credible enough to warrant official investigation. Her allegations are documentable: an existing FBI file should determine whether they are accurate. It’s true that she probably knows only part of the story, but if that part is correct, Congress and the Justice Department should have no higher priority. Nothing deserves more attention than the possibility of ongoing national-security failures and the proliferation of nuclear weapons with the connivance of corrupt senior government officials.

"I went with that shit, that shit got wasted" - Daleyz

Shit YO! WE AINT FUCKING AROUND ROUND HERE. WE STEPS AHEAD OF THE GAME YO.
Point 1:

hung ho-fung: AMERICA’S HEAD SERVANT?

http://www.newleftreview.org/?page=article&view=2809
Yeah its the new left review. Are you going to get any better information than this aNyWhErE>? No. That is fact. With all the hyphy about China's stimulus (woooo High speed rail woaaah those chinese are amazing wooooow) how much do we actually know, as usual- little (or a lot incoherently). China have helped the US dig themselves into a huge hole fully realizing that they are strung on to us and that we both are going down the tubes. They have taken on an elitist short-sighted (!american!) easy route methodology of doing business, not developing their domestic consumption by keeping wages low, ignoring the rural areas so there are unlimited workers, and shipping off all their junk to america leaving them at the mercy of markets trends in the US. What is especially important in this article is contrasting this with the development model struck by Japan, Korea, and Taiwan (before the almighty tide of neo-liberalism), who were able to raise the incomes of their rural populations and generate more self sufficient economies (which was all undone by the rise of China, WAT) What this article makes clear is that there is definitely a power base on the southern coasts who have made a lot of money with this model, in league with american elites, and will try at all costs to keep this model, as you can see by how the stimulus is being spent (on more fixed assets and capital goods, not in developing the rural consumer base). The world needs china to become a serious market and america to ease up on its debt to sort out its problems. Until more disaster falls, it aint happening soon. Good Article Mr Hung Fung

Point 2: The naively rejected potency of religious thought in western political thinking.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhh that we actually believed people in power, while the may be dumb, were at least rational. Please lets kill this once and for all and recognize that there is irrational superstitious doctrine inherent in all of man's cultures, it is organized, and it has shaped world events. And we in the west are not immune (ie not just rednecks in appalachia)
a) bible quotes in his daily iraq briefings....good and evil speeches...and now news of a call to jaques chirac in 2003 asking for his help in iraq to fight off Gog and Magog!?!?!? Kidding me???? The one and only....http://www.thespec.com/article/572824
b)zionism found acceptable by western political leaders (ie prime minister during balfour decree) due to evangelical beliefs in the need for Jews to be in israel for the end times to occur. They are progressing their perspective myth-reality! Lynny wat did i tell you about hyperstition, fictions that through their inherent power and ppl's beliefs in them force themselves real (plus the fact that there is no authority on the matter, anybody can become an authority on the matter and interpret for himself). Damn!
c) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Family_(Christian_political_organization)
the great legends themselves, power and religion in >sycophantic< style="color: rgb(255, 204, 0);">(((O))) remake (reinterpret the text against) your blasphemous elders!

Point 3: If you are really feeling serious today read this duder Gopal (we citing a china man and an indian man.....damn sickness) balakrishnan
SPECULATIONS ON THE ?STATIONARY STATE
This may be the most worthwhile article. If the first one was more practical international relations, this is more theoretical- on the future of capitalism ie the comedown. Some badass band has to name themselves the The Stationary State QUICK.
